Our front walkway was lawsuit waiting to happen. The paving stones that make up the steps were loose and border stones were dangling dangerously over the driveway.

Over the past two months, the city has been repaving the sidewalks and road surface on our street and had to dig up a portion of our driveway, walkway and front lawn. Once the roadwork was completed, they sent a private contract workers to repair the damage to our property. We asked the guys how much their company would charge to redo the whole walkway and we agreed they would do it themselves on the weekend as a “side” deal .
